How it works
From shelf to statistics.
The workflow below is the one that actually exists in the application. No part of it is simplified to sound better.
The stockroom is set up
The catalogue is read in from a spreadsheet, or set up directly in the application. Every item gets a reorder level and a class for how urgent it is. Suppliers and categories are created along the way.
Staff get their accounts
Every member of staff is invited with their own sign-in to the right clinic. It lasts a month, so nobody has to log in mid-task. A manager sees every signed-in device and can sign one out remotely, and it then stops working on its very next request.
Withdrawal: scan, choose a behandlare (practitioner), done
Whoever fetches an item scans the barcode with the reader, chooses which behandlare the item is for, and confirms. No personal login. If the barcode will not read, the item can be found by name.
The balance updates immediately
The withdrawal is recorded against the clinic and the balance changes at once. If the balance falls below the item's reorder level, it is flagged automatically in the application.
To Order shows what needs restocking
The list gathers everything below its level, with how much is missing and a link straight to the supplier's page where one has been given. Critical items are raised separately on the dashboard.
The statistics are built from the withdrawals
Because every withdrawal already carries a behandlare, no extra work is needed to produce the statistics. They show consumption per clinic, per material and per behandlare. The last is compared against the median for colleagues.
At the computer
What does not happen at the shelf
One thing happens at the shelf. Everything else is handled at a computer by someone with the right permission.
- Receiving a delivery when an order arrives
- Adjusting the balance at a stock count, with a note explaining why
- New products, suppliers and order links
- Behandlare are added and closed
- Signed-in devices are signed out remotely
